TEAM LOVE LA
Corporate Money out. Team Love in. Citizens Win.
“If you want the world to change you have to do something to help change it, and not hope that someone else will change it for you.”
Our founding fathers didn’t hope that someone would change the world for them. July 4 marks the independence of our country from an oppressive King to a democracy.
Team LoveLA was launched on July 4, 2013, to honor that legacy of bold action, independence and courage. Like our founding fathers, we are starting a revolutionary campaign to bring honesty, sanity and democracy to Los Angeles.
The corrosive effect of money and special interests in politics is pervasive. Issues such as emergency preparedness, education, the environment and our economy form the pillars of the Team Love LA campaign. The Team Love LA campaign is powered by the people of the 33rd District, not corporate special interests or political money making machines.
Why are politicians always asking for your money? Can you trust a politician whose goal is to spend literally millions of dollars on a campaign to get elected? Politicians continue to raise and spend millions of dollars on campaigns, yet nearly 70% of eligible voters chose not to vote in the May 2013 election for LA Mayor. With the Citizen's United Supreme Court decision, even more corporate money will be spent to elect politicians who will vote for corporate interests time and time again.
TeamLoveLA hopes you will join us and make Los Angeles and maybe the world a bit better. We hope you will be inspired to take action in 2014.
When you cast your ballot for TeamLoveLA you are telling politicians - GAME OVER.
A campaign powered by corporate and political machine money won't keep you from voting in 2014.
